Jancis Robinson review on the Blaufränkisch

We are pleased with the good review of our Blaufränkisch by the world-famous wine critic Jancis Robinson.

Full bottle 1,203 g. 100% Blaufränkisch, 10- to 30-year-old vines grown on weathered limestone bedrock. Hand-picked, fermented in stainless steel, aged in 35% barriques and 65% large oak barrels.
Liquorice and fennel nose. So inky that I wonder, for an Alice-in-Wonderland moment, whether might tongue might turn bright blue after tasting this. Fine dust-mote grace notes of soot and ground stone dance, shimmer, twirl above the lapis-lazuli lazy languidity of the fruit, transparent but for their light-catching minerality. Blue-black brushstrokes of spice follow the tannins into a long, silky finish. (TC)
