For wine lovers, "Concept Riesling" on Düsseldorf's Carlsplatz is a real magnet and is known far beyond the city limits. Also at ProWein, the wine bar is an annual hub for wine professionals from all over the world and Düsseldorf wine lovers. Now the wine shop, founded in 2017 by Philipp Kutsch, Nico von der Ohe and Björn Schwethelm, has been awarded 2nd place in the German Specialist Trade Award. The prize is awarded annually in cooperation between the German Wine Institute and the trade magazine WEIN+MARKT. "A walk-in wine climate cabinet where real rarities await wine discoverers, but also the offer of wines from young up-and-coming wineries make this place a must for fans of German wine," was the jury's conclusion. In addition, wine tastings - also online - and wine events are offered throughout the year at the market stall or even at the customer's home.
The winner of the competition is the wine shop and wine bar Holstein's Weinlager in Münster, third place goes to the Vinothek am Michelsberg in Ulm.
