Nice to see you. ¡Me alegro de verte! Prazer em vê-lo! Content de vous voir ! – or: Schön, Sie zu sehen! Just a few of the many languages that will be spoken when we meet again in Düsseldorf in May 2022. The high level of internationality among exhibitors and the diverse range of products will once again be the hallmark of the world’s leading trade fair for wines and spirits in 2022. However, one language in which we can probably all communicate is and remains good old business talk in the usual professional atmosphere. I cordially invite you join us in this.

ProWein 2022 will be a special ProWein for many – above all, it will be very emotional. Because for most of the exhibitors from overseas, ProWein will be their first trip to Europe since 2019. On the one hand, they are looking forward to doing business, but also to seeing you, their buyers, in person again. I am also very much looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Düsseldorf. Our chosen motto this year, “Let’s reunite for business.” is therefore more than appropriate.

The whole ProWein team is eagerly looking ahead and over the next few weeks my colleagues will be giving you insights into our range from Germany, Italy, France and the Craft drinks segment same but different, among other things.

for New World, Spain, Portugal, Central / Eastern Europe and spirits

From overseas: A large number of exhibitors with special discoveries from Australia and New Zealand will be with us, despite the travel restrictions. North America will be back again: in addition to the Wine Institute of California and Washington Wine Institute, representatives from Oregon and Canada will also be with us. Look forward to South American products – from Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Peru too.

From Europe: Many exhibitors from Europe will of course be represented again this May and bring new vintages with them to Düsseldorf. All exhibitors from my sector who I have recently been in contact with are already very much looking forward to ProWein 2022. My European exhibitors, for example from Portugal and Spain, cannot wait for ProWein either and are bringing lots of great products.

In Hall 13, Portugal awaits you with a large pavilion organised by Wines of Portugal with master classes and a tasting area. In addition to numerous individual exhibitors, the regions Douro e Porto, Vinho Verde, Alentejo, Tejo, Bairrada and Beira will be represented again this year.  

In Halls 13 and 14, Spain and the Spanish Pavilion will be spread out this year. Here, too, you will find a wide selection of wineries from the various regions. Represented are Catalonia, Rioja, Rioja Alavesa, Castilla y Leon, Navarra, Valencia and even new this year Mallorca. In addition, we will once again be welcoming renowned exhibitors such as Miguel Torres, Felix Solis, Garcia Carrion, La Rioja Alta, Araex Alavesa and many other great exhibitors (Verlinkung Spanien).

In Hall 11, ProWein is once again offering wines from Central and Eastern Europe. There is a large Hungarian pavilion where you can find the famous Tokaj, but also wines from the Villany region, which is known for its red wines. In addition, countries from Slovenia, Croatia, Cyprus, Serbia as well as Georgia, Armenia or Moldavia, Romania, will also be present, some of which will showcase autochthonous grape varieties.

From all over the world: Variety is the trump card at ProWein. The entire spectrum of the industry is represented – from the well-known, traditional to the exotic wine regions. But variety also means that you can experience renowned Champagne houses and the “same but different” trend show with craft drinks.
